As time goes on, drones get tougher and come in bigger numbers. If your base falls, it's game over!

Level up and craft your own build

Shoot down drones and collect scrap to level up.
Every level-up deals you 3 cards. Skip to repair your base, or pick a new tower, an upgrade, an augment or a bonus and play it your way. Don't like your hand? Reroll it!

• 11 towers — One upgrade card levels up every tower of that type.
  
• 22 mods — At Lv3, choose one of two mods for each tower.
  
• Lv5 traits — At Lv5, every tower unlocks its own trait! Autocannon kill shots carry leftover damage into the next drone, and the Railgun starts firing twin shots.
  
• 65 augments — From rockets with huge blasts to lasers that bend and split, there are tons of augments to change up your build! 22 of them are exclusive to specific mods.

Opening rushes, the cards you're offered and buff pad locations change every run. No two runs are ever the same!

Use the terrain

Every map has its own terrain. Use it to defend your base!
Towers on high ground get extra range!

Exploit their weaknesses

Energy tears through shields, explosives crack armor, and physical rounds hit bare hulls a little harder. Pick your towers to match the drones coming at you!

Powerful bosses

Survive long enough and powerful bosses will come for you!

• Carrier — Spews out swarm after swarm of drones!
  
• Overmind — Regenerates its shield with Link Nodes and hijacks your strongest tower!
  
• Colossus — Fires seeker missiles, raises an energy barrier and lunges at you again and again!

Every boss you take down gives you a guaranteed Extra Pick. The Colossus gives you two!
Elite drones and special drones like Aegis, Splitter, Medic and Hacker join the swarm, too! Shoot down an elite and you might get an Extra Pick or a base repair. And don't let the Golden Drones get away. They drop rare supplies!

6 bases, each with its own skill

Every base has its own HP, main gun and skill. Hit Space to fire off your skill when things get desperate!
Complete hidden achievements to unlock two special bases!

Combos that feel great

Chain your kills to build up combos. Combos climb through 5 tiers, and every new tier earns you bonus scrap!
Hit-stop, flying debris and screen shake make every kill feel punchy. You can adjust screen shake in the settings.

Keep getting stronger between runs

• 7 research tracks — Spend your scrap in the Hangar on research, and unlock new towers, mods, bases and perks.
  
• 12 perks — Equip up to 4 before each run.
  
• 3 maps — Outpost Relay, Canyon Transmitter and Ruined Observatory unlock in order, and then Threat Tier II opens up.
  
• Leaderboard and achievements — Compete on the global Steam leaderboard! Unlock 23 Steam achievements and earn in-game rewards. Two of them are hidden!

• Check tower stats right on the cards and in the Hangar.
