Chess chooses the landing square. You draw the way there.

A monster blocks the exit; a chest sits off to the side. Play a chess-piece card to choose where you may land, then draw a route within a limited number of steps. The same card can take you past danger, through a fight, or toward loot.

Find gear. Set off a chain reaction.

Equipment changes how this run plays. Pick your moment to attack: a hit or kill can trigger more items, turning one move into a chain. When it works, the monster you meant to dodge becomes an opening.

Keep an eye on the light.

Some wraiths cannot be killed in shadow, but sunlight turns them into chests. Watch the terrain, your cards, and the approaching monsters as you make for the exit. Deeper in, visual tricks hide paths through seemingly impossible rooms.
